As of 2:30 a.m. ET, no winners had been announced yet. The jackpot drawing had a snafu Monday night, though. The numbers were several hours late in being announced. The California Lottery stated on Twitter that one state had to delay because of required security protocols while another state was delayed for undisclosed reasons. Neither state was revealed in the tweets. The Powerball jackpot rolled over to $1 billion after the 10/29/2022 drawing produced no grand prize winners....

The answer is no. Witnesses told a marine mammals officer on Friday, July 9, that a number of adults surrounded and captured the animal to keep it on the surface of the water, according to a joint statement by Lübeck public prosecutor’s office and the Lübeck police department. The incident occurred in the bathing area of the Grömitz municipality on the Baltic coast, northern Germany. The adults allegedly held the porpoise in place and called over 20 children to the water, who were said to have held, hugged and petted it....
