The Last of Us 2 is full of intense moments that really test its players. However, those intense moments are contrasted with genuine interactions between the characters that are heart-warming and human feeling in how genuine and personal they are.

One of these moments sees Ellie singing a song for her girlfriend, Dina, as they take a small moment to rest while traveling. It is a nice scene that helps invest players in the characters and their relationship, but YouTuber TheMagicalBlob found a way to make it all a lot more unsettling and creepy by swapping Ellie’s character model out for that of a female clicker, the iconic infected enemies from the Last of Us series. The clip is undoubtedly using a modded version of the game, but the results are pretty great regardless.
The scene, in particular, is made all the more uncomfortable thanks to the great voice talent behind The Last of Us 2, and all of the cinematic detail that is put into the game’s cutscenes. The disconnect between the sweet moment, complete with Dina giving the clicker endearing looks throughout the song, makes it all the more creepy and hilarious.
Thankfully, while the clicker’s model does move its body in the same way that Ellie would in the scene, its mouth does not move at all. With all of the grotesque detail on the model already being creepy in its own right, things would only be more unsettling if the clip gave fans a sneak peek at what the inside of a clicker’s mouth looks like.
The clip is pretty great and adds to the incredible things that the game’s community has continued to do to express their love for the game. It is no surprise that the game has managed to maintain such a community with how emotionally impactful it is, as well as the incredible amount of intricacies in The Last of Us 2 that has players still finding new details. With fans still waiting for the game’s multiplayer mode to be released, at least the community has great fan content like this to keep them occupied until then.
The Last of Us 2 is available now on PlayStation 4.
