Potion Permit is a casual Action Adventure game developed by MassHive Media and published by PQube. Players take on the role of a chemist from the Medical Association who has been sent to the town of Moonbury. Moonbury historically distrusts chemists, especially those from the city and thus the Medical Association, due to an incident in the past that killed off a number of unique forms of plant life found in and around the town. The Mayor has requested the aid of the association in providing a cure for his daughter’s illness, which is the first task players are given upon arriving in Moonbury. With the Mayor’s daughter cured, he asks the player to remain in town and continue aiding the community, hoping to improve relations with the city.

How To Save The Game

Luckily, despite the game not doing a fantastic job of explaining how to save the game, the method is actually very simple and players will likely save the game by accident multiple times during the early stages of the game. This is because the game can only be saved by sleeping in the bed at the Potion House.

More specifically, the game automatically saves at the end of each day, and since sleeping progresses the game to the next day, this is the main means of forcing the game to save during play. As such, the best time for players to take a break is at the start of a new day, before doing anything else, so that they can resume from right where they left off.

In the early stages the player doesn’t have much to do on each day, so heading to bed after the usual routine of collecting ingredients and completing the initial set of objectives (collecting herbs, brewing some remedies, and curing the Mayor’s daughter) is simple enough. Later on, players wishing to maximize efficiency will likely wish to gather as many ingredients as they can, run around town speaking to people and raising bonds, and brew potions for treatment or sale via the Post Drop Box, before resting each day. As such the time between saves will be a little longer once players begin the main gameplay loop in earnest.
