The last jackpot was won on July 13, 2019, by a single ticket in Tennessee. The jackpot was an estimated $198 million at the time of the drawing with a cash option of $128.1 million. The winning numbers were white balls 13, 23, 32, 35, 68, plus Powerball 21, and Power Play multiplier 3X.
This was the third time the Powerball jackpot had been won this year, according to its website. The Powerball jackpot was previously won in Wisconsin ($768.4 million) in the March 27 drawing and North Carolina ($344.6 million) in the June 1 drawing.
Two tickets, sold in California and North Carolina, matched all five white balls but missed matching the red Powerball in the Saturday’s drawing to win a $1 million prize. In total, there were more than 670,000 winning tickets across all prize tiers.

Powerball draws, which are broadcast live from the lottery studio in Tallahassee, Florida, take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 p.m. EDT, meaning there are just three days to go until the next one.
The jackpot now stands at $128 million with a cash option of $86.1million. The next Powerball draw is on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Powerball is one of the most widely played lottery games in the country, with tickets sold in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to its website.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. In the game, players select five numbers from 1 to 69, in addition to one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Furthermore, players can multiply any non-jackpot prizes using the Power Play option for an additional $1 per go in certain circumstances.
According to Powerball, the odds of winning a prize are the same in every Powerball drawing. The website states that a player has 1 in 24.9 chance of winning a prize when the jackpot is $40 million, and it doesn’t change if the jackpot is $1 billion.
It is also not based on the number of tickets sold; even if there are more tickets sold in a particular drawing, odds of winning a prize remain the same.
When it comes to PowerPlay, the website states that for an additional $1 per play, non-jackpot prizes can be multiplied 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X. The multiplier number is randomly chosen before each number draw. The 10X multiplier is only in play when the advertised jackpot annuity is $150 million or less.
The next drawing will be on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 10:59 p.m. EDT.
